Emily Fenton is a singer, songwriter and multimedia artist from Little Rock, Arkansas. She began singing, playing music, and performing at an early age after the sudden loss of a parent.
Fenton went on to study music at Ithaca College, to which she attributes her classical vocal training. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theater, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in writing and performance.
Open mic nights and improvisational comedy classes at Upright Citizen's Brigade inspired Fenton to create a group of bedroom recordings she titled, "Erratic Mood Swings & Crippling Self Doubt."
Fenton continued to perform music, write and record songs in New York until the spring of 2021, when she moved to Little Rock. She quickly formed a backing band.
An affinity for cut-to-the-chase lyrics and a fascination for psychedelic concept albums led to the creation of her first full-length record, Hello, from Planet Earth. The record blends elements of classic country, folk, and contemporary indie-rock. The album was recorded live at White Water Tavern in the summer of 2022 and released February 10th, 2023.
Her most recent single, Gunshot, was released in September of 2025. The autobiographical murder suicide ballad is a fusion of blues and rock n' roll.
Emily currently resides in Little Rock with her husband, Marco, and their dogs, Frango and Oso.
